Son of Jesse Mayfield and Sarah Walker Starr Mayfield. He was married three times: #1) Mary Jane Sarah Starr (1845) they had two children Ezekiel (1846) and Penelope (1848); #2) America A. Hart (1856) they had two children Mary Tipton and Jesse Hart (1870); #3 Mary Ann Stovall (1858).
